Dr. Selvasingam Ratnasingam is a Senior Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with more than 30 years of experience working in government hospitals throughout Malaysia. He received advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Highfield Family and Adolescent Unit, Warneford Hospital, Oxford — the teaching hospital of the University of Oxford — where he trained for three years under the guidance of Dr. Anthony James.

 

This experience provided him with valuable insight into the assessment and care of young people facing emotional, behavioural and psychiatric difficulties. Dr. Selva is also a qualified Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) practitioner, having completed formal training with the British Isles DBT Training Team.

 

While his primary focus is on children and adolescents, he also sees adults with a range of psychiatric concerns. Dr. Selva is currently registered as a Consultant Psychiatrist with the General Medical Council (GMC), United Kingdom, and is committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate and evidence-based care for individuals and families.
